These guitars came with a stinger from the factory at the time. The back of the head stock has a stinger, this is not a Headstock repair. On the headstock it has the Fender logo along with a 'Made in US' stamp on it, and then on the back of the headstock it has the Custom Shop emblem on it. The pickguard futures Abalone inlays within the flowers as you may see in the pictures. Hello Everyone I have a Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop Guitar that does not have any serial number anywhere that I can find. It is in truly beautiful condition considering that it’s a 50 year old instrument. This instrument seeks to replicate the Gibson SJ 200, and does so without any issue. This guitar is great proof of the master craftsmanship of the time in Japan. A truly wonderful Japanese handmade acoustic guitar.
